Site will be changing soon
As you may or may not know, I have been mobilized to support KFOR9 (Kosovo Protection Force, 9th rotation). I will soon be archiving this site, and posting a new site to share pictures and stories from the deployment.
And a special shout out to Chris and the crew at Stillwater Sports Barber. You guys rock!! (To any of you that appreciate a good fade, I guarantee you there’s no better shop in the Twin Cities metro to hook you up!)
Thanks for checking the site, and thanks for all your support.
Cheers!

Hey Niels!!
Hope training is going well and you’re getting ready for the big trip across the lake. Do you know when your official tour start date is? Perhaps it is classified and you may have to kill me if you tell me.
Not much going on here. Same old, same old. It’s been hot and humit lately, which leaves you pretty much to staying indoors.
Anyway, hope all is well. I’ll check in with you again shortly.

Hey Ralf (and Amy too!)!!
Great to hear from you! I wouldn’t want to have to kill you, so I won’t post the date we head across the pond. But I can tell you, it won’t come soon enough! This is always one of the hardest parts of a deployment–a zillion details to take care of, and it seems almost overwhelming to get them all done in time.
But it sounds like our weather has been better than yours, surprisingly! However, I think we’ll have to start trudging around in full body armor pretty soon, and when that happens, it doesn’t really matter how good the weather is.
Thanks for the note, and I’ll holler at you again soon!
-Take care
